Join the FEDbruary Challenge! 

Choose a virtual race or The Walking FED.

  • Super Bowl Virtual Run (5K or 10K) - 2/6/2021 – 2/7/2021

  • Love yourself Virtual Run (5K or 10K) - 2/13/2021 – 2/14/2021

You can track your time and distance by signing up for strava and joining the Federal Athletics Club.  

**You may be asked to provide a screen shot of your running app to prove your running time. 

                                 

                                  THE WALKING FED – Most miles walked in the month of February.

                                  Top five walkers (Men and Women) will earn a  "The Walking Fed" T-Shirt.

                                  Must use a GPS app (Fitbit, Nike Run Club, MapMyWalk, etc.) to track your miles for                                      the entire month.

WHO: 

  • Friend of the Federal Athletics Foundation 

  • Member of the DOL Running Teams (Black, Gold, OIG)

  • Federal employee

  • Feds Get Fit member

  • Veteran of the United States military

  • Participant of the annual B2V race 



WHEN/HOW:     

Register at any point between February 1st and February 28th and then run one (or both) of the virtual races prior to 11:59pm (PDT) on February 28, 2021.  Once you complete the 5K /10K, send an email with your name and your time to info@federalathletics.org (time submissions due by 11:59pm (PDT) on March 1, 2021).
 

RULES FOR THE 5K /10K:  Although you may enter both races, you are only eligible to win a prize in one of the races.  


PRIZES

All registered participants (runners / walkers) will receive a free face mask.  These masks were sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and a sample can be found HERE.

All registered participants that run the 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) and submit their time to info@federalathletics.org will be entered to win a cooling towel from Kaiser Permanente.  The cooling towels will be earned by those that record the fastest time in their titled category.  There is both a womens and mens division.

Top five walkers (Men and Womens division) will win a  "The Walking Fed" T-Shirt.  The Greater Los Angeles Federal Executive Board / So Cal Feds Get Fit is sponsoring this challenge.   Walkers are required to submit their FEDbruary mileage to info@federalathletics.org

The Baker to Vegas race is not sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Labor (U.S. D.O.L.).  Therefore, participants are not covered by Workers’ Compensation in the event of an injury or illness.
