2019 u.s. police & fire championships

June 26 - 28, 2019:  DOL Team Black's very own Abel Gervacio won TWO Gold Medals at the 2019 U.S. Police & Fire Championships that was held in San Diego, California.

Abel was the first Team Black member to enter the games and he set the bar in the national competition.  He won the singles and doubles divisions in bowling!

In the doubles division, Abel was partnered with a former San Francisco County Sherrif and the two dominated the competition!   In the singles division, Abel outscored his opponents and confirmed his gold medal in the 5th and final round.

We are so proud of Abel and look forward to more Team Black members competing in the 2020 championships!

May 2018:  Jason Evans completed the Austin, Texas - Super Spartan in 1:33:54.  32nd overall and 10th in his age bracket!

November 5, 2017:   Jessica Harlow - New York City Marathon:

"It was the best experience in a marathon I have ever had. The people there were amazing and the crowds were incredible!  6.5 million spectators cheering you on throughout the course.

I loved going through the different boroughs hearing the different music and the smells of the food cooking. It was also a historical marathon since it was the first time a US woman had won since 1977 and she is from New England.

I want to thank the Federal Athletics Foundation for the support  in getting me to that finish line!!"
